Improvisando:How to improvisation came into your career?

William Hall: When I was studying professional acting they wanted me to invent the dialogue of a scene that takes place before the one we memorized and rehearsed.  They called it improvisation but I thought it was stupid.  Who can spontaneously create something comparable to Ibsen, Gorky, or Chekhov?
